Taco Bell Grilled Breakfast Burrito Review:
Price Paid: $1.00 | Company: Taco Bell
The grilled breakfast burrito comes in three different options: bacon, sausage, or fiesta potatoes. I opted for the bacon burrito, as sausage can get a little iffy at times. How did it measure up against our ValueGrub’s rating? Check out the details below. Spoiler: it didn’t do well.
Look:
This burrito looks great on the outside, with it’s perfectly toasted flour tortilla that was crunchy. However, the inside of this burrito was pretty much void of eggs and bacon. As you can see (check out the third picture) the flour tortilla makes up more than half of the burrito (I took this picture more near the meat of where most of the ingredients were). I bought three of these and all were the same (lacking eggs mostly).
- Flour tortilla
- Scrambled eggs
- Bacon pieces
- Nacho cheese sauce
Taste (6.0/10):
I felt like I was eating a flour tortilla more than anything else. I have a feeling this might have been an isolated issue, your experience might differ. But, I have to review food on the way it was presented to me (as a normal everyday customer).
If you’re a fan of nacho cheese sauce, you might like this. It carries a bit of spice that complements the egg and tortilla. I am not a fan of spice (in the morning) or cheese sauce, so those factors are reflected in the overall taste score you see. The bacon adds a little smokey flavor but tastes like bacon bits. Not much filling in the grilled breakfast burrito.
Value (7.5/10):
There has to be about $30 worth of tortilla making up this burrito. Seriously though, eggs are cheap and we don’t get much for a buck. There is no reason to skimp out on the scrambled eggs even at this price. Using nacho cheese sauce removed some points for quality.

350 calories (27 calories per gram of protein). Knock the cheese sauce and some bacon and you can reduce the calorie count. I think opting for no bacon, no sausage, and no cheese sauce, but instead adding extra egg ($0.30 extra) with pico de gallo ($0.25 extra) would make a good breakfast choice, allowing for a cleaner and fuller stomach.
